Mint a tree

What This Is

Every number on this site is either read live from a contract or marked as a placeholder. Nothing in between.

The tier

Each tree is assigned one of six tiers at mint, chosen by the contract, not by you. Tier sets a fixed projected O2 capacity — what a mature tree of the planted species should produce in a year. Nothing about a tier can be re-rolled or upgraded after mint.

The planting record

Each mint’s projected capacity is added to a public, append-only daily ledger the same day it’s minted. Against that ledger, we publish planting batches — species, site, quantity, GPS, photos, and a contractor invoice — each one closing a specific range of ledger days.

What it is not

There is no staking, no floor price, and no buyback. Owning a tree does not entitle you to yield, a redemption right, or a share of anything. It’s a collectible plus a public planting commitment — not an investment.

Questions

Pulled straight from the open questions and risks already in the product brief — not a marketing FAQ, the actual list people ask before they mint.

Minting adds a fixed, randomly-assigned projected capacity to a public ledger the same day, and sends a share of the mint (illustrative: 60%) to the Planting Reserve in that same transaction. Real planting is reported afterward in batches against that ledger — it isn’t instant, and it waits for the next plantable window.

It’s projected capacity: what a mature tree of the planted species should produce in a year, not what has been produced yet. A tree planted today reaches that number in years, not days. See O2 Methodology.

No. Tier is assigned at mint by a verifiable random function (or a commit-reveal fallback) and frozen permanently. Nobody — including us — can choose or change it afterward.

Frozen ground or dormant stock can make a day physically unplantable. It’s marked “Queued — awaiting a plantable window,” not silently skipped or averaged away, and stays visibly open until a batch closes it.

Nobody alone. Withdrawal requires a multisig — a minimum number of signers, none of whom can move funds by themselves.

No. There’s no staking, no floor price, no buyback, and no yield. It’s a collectible tied to a public planting commitment, not a financial product — don’t treat it as one.

The tree species, planting site, and contractor haven’t been chosen, so the real cost per tree and the final revenue-split percentages aren’t set either. Everything marked draft or illustrative on this site gets replaced once those are confirmed.

That’s outside what the contract can enforce — there’s no third-party charity partner vouching for us. What is enforced: the reserve split, the tier randomness, and the multisig withdrawal. What requires trusting us: that the evidence is genuine and planting is actually kept up day to day. See What’s Enforced, What’s Trusted.

Terms and Conditions

What you get, and what you don’t. Last updated 5 September 2026 — published ahead of contract deployment so the mechanism can be reviewed before anything is live.

01

Scope

These terms govern your use of this site and, once contracts are deployed, the minting and holding of a Plot or Tree token. OXYGEN is not yet deployed — this is a design draft. By connecting a wallet or minting, you accept these terms.

02

What a Plot and a Tree are

A Plot is a non-transferable, soulbound token — one per wallet — that sets how many Tree tokens you can mint. A Tree is an ERC-721-C token carrying a randomly-assigned rarity tier and a fixed projected O2 capacity. Neither is a share, a security, a yield-bearing instrument, or a claim on any organization. Projected capacity is not a certified carbon credit.

03

Eligibility

You must be of legal age and legally permitted to hold digital assets and USDC in your jurisdiction. Purchases may be restricted in jurisdictions subject to sanctions or where this offering has not been reviewed.

04

Minting and upgrading a Plot

A Plot is minted for USDC and capped at one per wallet — a second mint attempt from the same wallet reverts. A Plot’s tier can be upgraded to a larger size for the price difference, but never downgraded; there is no function in the contract to reduce a Plot’s tier.

05

Minting a Tree and tier assignment

A Tree mints for a fixed price (illustrative: 10,000 $TOKEN) against free capacity in your Plot. Tier — one of six — is assigned by a verifiable random function or a commit-reveal fallback, not chosen by you or by us, and is frozen at mint. It cannot be re-rolled, exchanged, or upgraded afterward.

06

The daily ledger and planting reports

Each Tree’s projected O2 capacity is added to a public, append-only daily ledger the day it’s minted. Real planting is reported in batches against that ledger — species, site, quantity, GPS, photos, and a contractor invoice — within a published SLA. A day without a matching batch is marked queued, not hidden, until it closes.

07

Reserve split and withdrawal

A share of every Plot and Tree mint (illustrative: 60%) is sent to the Planting Reserve in the same transaction — this split is enforced by the contract and cannot be skipped. Withdrawing from the Reserve to pay a planting contractor requires a multisig; no single key can move Reserve funds.

08

Resale

Tree tokens may be transferred and resold on any marketplace that supports the standard. We operate no marketplace of our own. Resale prices are set entirely by the market and carry no guarantee; Plot tokens cannot be resold or transferred under any circumstances.

09

Risks you accept

Projected capacity is a design figure for a mature tree of the planted species — not a certified carbon claim, and not what has been produced yet. The mint price for a Tree is fixed in $TOKEN, not USD, so its dollar value can change independently of anything planted. Smart contracts can contain defects despite review. Planted photos, GPS logs, and invoices are published by us; there is no independent third party vouching for their accuracy.

10

No warranty, limits on liability

The site and the tokens are provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and limit our total liability to the amount you paid to mint the tokens you hold. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

11

Things you must not do

Do not present a Tree or Plot as an investment, a security, or a certified environmental claim this site does not make. Do not attempt to mint a second Plot from wallets you control to bypass the one-per-wallet cap, or to interfere with the contracts or the daily ledger.

12

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the version published here, dated at the top, is the one in force. Changes do not alter the frozen tier or capacity of a Tree you already hold.

13

How to verify any of this

The reserve split, the tier randomness, and the multisig requirement are enforced on-chain and can be checked without asking us. What cannot be verified on-chain — that a planting report is genuine, that a day marked queued is actually queued — is disclosed as such in What’s Enforced, What’s Trusted. Where a figure on this site is illustrative rather than confirmed, it is marked as draft.

This is a collectible, not an investment. What we plant, we publish. What we haven’t planted yet, we say so.
